The design of this rocking chair by artist marija cvetinovic is brilliant. It not only looks beautiful, but it encourages conversation and connection, two of my musts for a happy family. +Benjamin F. Weaver If it's balanced well, it should still rock, even if it takes a few more swings in harmonic frequency to get up to speed (to overcome inertia by greater mass). The activation energy / coefficient of friction shouldn't cause it to be more difficult in an affine way (as it would if it involved just pushing a flat box along a flat surface)—the power of the wheel.
I could see me needing a helmet to use this!
I could see this on one of the big outdoor veranda's sitting out there watching the stars listening to the frogs and owls on a late summer evening.
