For the longest time I have searched for a project that would give me the opportunity to connect my spirit and my faith with being mindfully aware in my daily walk. This past month I was fortunate to come across The Wild Elephant Project on the Life Unity Website by Lisa Wilson and it was the exact challenge I had been deeply searching for. That, combined with my desire to live a more connected life with my faith without the oppression of organized religion has given me the motivation to read, reflect, meditate, and move through my journey with much more attention and focus. This year I will be on this journey along with the other members in The Wild Elephant Project group.
This group’s yearly project combines an online community with the personal homework of reading the text,
How To Train A Wild Elephant And Other Adventures In Mindfulness by Jan Chozen Bays
What I LOVE about this book is that I am free to take the 52 lessons at my own pace, relate the lessons and listen to God’s voice from within, and share my insights here. If you are seeking a group or path to become more mindfully aware in your daily walk I encourage you to join us.
